Part-Boarding

Experience horse ownership with smaller time and financial commitment

Lessons involve all three phases of dressage, cross-country (weather permitting!) and stadium (show jumping :). Practice rides are flat only (walk, trot, canter) and can include hacking and conditioning anywhere on the 75 acre property. Hacking is critical to keeping the horse healthy, happy and interested, but even more importantly - it's fun!!! Being stuck in the ring endlessly gets old fast. Part-boarders are encouraged to make use of the facilities during their practice rides.

Graduate Riding School Options

Part-board involves two lessons and one practice ride each week. It is highly recommended that any student who wishes to compete consider part-boarding as this ensures sufficient preparation time. Part-board is required for students wishing to compete at pre-training level or higher as riding three days/week is necessary at that level to maintain the necessary fitness to compete safely and successfully.

Quarter-board involves one lesson and one practice ride each week. Quarter-board is required for students wishing to compete at the lower levels on the OHTA circuit. Note that anybody in regular lessons of appropriate riding ability may participate in the schooling shows, however first choice of horse is given to part and quarter boarders.

Other part-board packages can be arranged upon request.
